Dr. Betsy S. Merrell's office specializes in Family Medicine. As a family physician, Dr. Betsy S. Merrell is educated and trained to provide continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to the entire family. Dr. Betsy S. Merrell has skill and knowledge in six areas of medicine; pediatrics, internal medicine, gynecology, psychiatry, surgery, and community medicine. She has also studied emergency medicine, orthopedics, urology, dermatology, geriatrics, and ophthalmology.
Continuity of care is the most important element of our training and practice, meaning that your family physician is always your doctor. If you are referred to another specialist, your family doctor continues to manage and coordinate your care. Equally important, a family physician's training teaches them to practice preventative medicine. They not only know how to get you well, but also how to keep you healthy.
