Meet the Doctor
Dr. Betsy Salsbury Merrell received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC in 2003 and completed both her internship and residency in family medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She has practiced medicine in Hendersonville since completion of her residency in 2006. In her spare time, Dr. Merrell enjoys golf, jogging, mountain biking, hiking, movies and reading. Dr. Merrell and her husband Dr. Joshua Merrell, a general dentist, reside in Henderson County.
